Where do you begin with a site like U R Not Alone.com? You can’t begin anywhere in particular since it’s a site in and of itself. A self-contained world catering to all things transgendered in nature. It has movies, pictures, stories, personal ads, escorts, models and even support groups. The site is primarily free but membership does have its privileges. To post a profile is free. To fluidly move about the site and do everything inside, you’re looking at either a $4.95 monthly membership or an $18.95 monthly membership which allows you do explore and go everywhere… much like the world of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, where no stone is left unturned and no car is left unhijacked (is that even a word?). Think of U R Not Alone as MySpace.com with a tranny-themed twist.
The site’s been around for close to 10 years and is a big hit with transgendered folk all over the nation. I even found some profiles of some TG escorts way up North in my hometown of Montreal, Quebec. Verdun(geon), actually. But, as always, I digress up a storm. Let me attempt to do justice to a site that has more peaks and valleys than the Rockies.

U R Not Alone.com is a site that is complex to maneuver around but has a very simple purpose; to allow transgendered people to meet others cut from the same cloth or men or women and vice-versa. It’s a great idea but executed in a rather difficult-to-follow fashion. The main members’ page is a little too muddled. It helps to have links atop the page. These links include All, Girls, Boys, Friends, Admirers, Escorts, Models, Models (ADLT), Performers, Couples and Support Groups. The page itself has pictures of shemales but you’re not sure if they are straight, gay, bi, escorts, regular folk or what. It takes some time and some guidance to get where you want to go and find out what you need to know. And that’s why I’m here… to guide you and to ensure you’re not wasting any dough on something that is not what it purports itself to be.
The first picture I noticed was from this gal named Vicky, who also happens to be the web mistress of U R Not Alone. She’s got 272 photos posted in 14 galleries. Some galleries are labeled “adult” while others are tagged “public”. And, like you’d expect, the adult series’ showcases our web mistress in all her naked glory while the public pictures have her posing erotically, but fully clothed. Each picture of each person has a personal blurb. Vicky’s read this way:

Who’s Jon, you might ask? Well, he’s the cat that runs the place. Apparently, he is a tranny chaser and chased up one of the better looking profiles in the joint. And don’t be offended by my “tranny-chaser” comment. The man lists himself as one.
As I mentioned previously, the place has a MySpace.com tinged theme. You view a profile, you see the person’s likes and dislikes and can also view the friends in their network. The Girls link showcases all the “girls” on the site. You also have your Pansexuals, Trisexuals, Quatrasexuals (they’ll do anything for a quarter), Non-Op M2Fs, Post-Op M2Fs, plain ‘ol M2Fs, CDs, TVs, TSs… you name it, you got it. Which is a nice touch since the site caters to anyone and everything.
Admirers seems like the same drek, but you can sort the criteria by handle, name, gallery count, image count, last modified, recent galleries and recent members. Confused? So am I. Basically, I’m just looking at the chicks with dicks that have movies and cool pictures. I’m not looking to actually date or meet any of these people, I just want to see them nekkid. But it’s nice that you are given the opportunity to do so.
In the Escorts section you are given 9 pages of 161 different ones. You can also view them in R-rated fashion (Adult view) or G-Rated poses (Public view). Once you click on the Escorts Tab (as in any of the Profile Sections) you can then use the options on the left to narrow the Escorts down by Gender, Sexual Orientation, Location or you can even sort them by distance from you by putting in your zipcode or the zipcode of a place you're traveling to. You can also select an age range. Some of the ads point out how much the escort will cost you and what you might expect once you meet him/her in person. Pictures are worth a thousand words, so you can make an educated decision by what you see and when the last photo was updated or modified. Remember, folks… in dating cyberspace, women will ALWAYS reduce their age by 5 years and men will ALWAYS augment their height (all appendages) by at least 3 inches. You’ve been warned!
Conclusion:
If you’ve struck out on JDate, Match, Lavalife and Craig’s List regarding a pansexual or transsexual date, try out U R Not Alone and find the tranny you’ve always been looking for. Once you become familiar with the difficult navigation, you can eventually find people by distance from you, by age range, by sexual preference, by type of Transgendered Person (CD / TV / TS, etc.), by partial name if you're searching for someone specific and you can even contact someone who's Profile interests you, you can use their Chat Room, their Forums and more all for Free. If you decide you want extra features like having more than 4 People in your Friends List or in your Hot List and you want to view the Alternate Profile Pics then you'll have to hand over $4.95 a month. Full Access to everything, including the ModelTS Section of the site will run you $18.95 per month. With Full Access you do get scores of exclusive adult movies and pictures to access. Is it worth it? The free part yes… the $4.95 part, absolutely. The $18.95 membership would be worth it only if you're looking for access to lots of Exclusive Adult Pics and Video Clips.
